Auto screen timeout not working if screen lock is on

Prerequisites

  • I have searched open and closed issues for duplicates.

Describe the bug

  • Auto screen timeout doesn't work if screen lock after screen off is active.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  • System settings> Power > scene timeout to 5m ...
    System settings>security> Locking> screen lock after suspend ...and screen lock after screen timeout is turned on..

Expected behavior:

  • It should auto lock the screen and turn off the display after that set time..

Platform Information:

  • OS: elementary OS
  • OS Version - 5.1.4
  • Hardware info
    -Kernel- 5.3.0.51
    Model- hp da0326tu
    Cpu- i3 7100U
    Ram- 8GB
    GPU - Intel HD graphics 620

Please check what applies:

  • I'm using the latest version from git that I've manually compiled
  • I'm using the latest released stable version

Additional context:

  • My laptop screen goes off after 5m and after 2-3 Seconds it turns on again and shows Login screen for forever it never turns off the screen....
    No modification done to the system..

Closing because I cannot reproduce the issue on OS 7.1
