Suspend times out twice

What Happened?
When leaving my PC unattended for some time it will go to sleep once (locking itself) where the screen then turns back on until the time has passed again and the screen turns off.
Steps to Reproduce
Leave your PC and watch.
Expected Behavior
The screen should stay off when locked due to time, until woken
OS Version
6.x (Odin)
Software Version
Latest release (I have run all updates)

Unsure. This may even be part of the GNOME stack.
I've noticed on a couple of GNOME based distros I've used recently that the screen will go off after the timeout. And then some minutes later, the screen will wake back up to the lock screen with a notification saying the machine is about to suspend.
