X session died

What Happened?
I was running a Python program in a terminal (io.elementary.terminal) when the X session just died. A few seconds later the login screen showed up. I login, and the desktop loads very slowly. Plank takes longer to start, and when it does, it's no longer showing indicators for open/running apps.

Steps to Reproduce
Cannot intentionally reproduce. It only happened once.

It's a crash.
