loss of keyboard layout after lockscreen

What Happened?
when the system auto locks the screen and I unlock it again, the keyboard layout is lost (currently I am using german keyboard layout and this unfortunately gets somehow set to US as soon as the lock screen gets invoked)
Steps to Reproduce
set keyboad layout to german
wait til auto locking of screen
unlock
keyboard is not working correctlz (check e.g. by typing z and y)
Expected Behavior
even after unlocking the system,the keyboard laout should be correct

Latest release (I have run all updates)
