black screen after resuming from suspend

What Happened?

after resuming for more than 4 hours suspend, I just see a black screen and the CPU fan's speed goes up and I must restart the laptop.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. suspend os
  2. wait for 4 or 5 hours
  3. press a key to resume
  4. see the black screen a

Expected Behavior

  1. suspend
  2. press a key
  3. see the login screen
