Wingpanel crashing when choosing Wifi network through indicator

Opened this issue · 0 comments

What Happened?

I'm on a fresh install of elementary OS 7.1.
I'm currently trying to connect to a university network that is open but requires login data through a separately opened browser window.
If I left click on the wifi indicator in the wingpanel it opens the drop-down menu with all available wifi networks.
If I click on the wifi network (StudiWLAN),the wingpanel crashes. Sometimes it restarts, sometimes it does not and the keyboard combination "Win + Space" restarts it.

I have added two screenshots of the drop-down menu and the desktop in the state of the crashed wingpanel, i.e. there is no top bar.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Click on wingpanels wifi indicator
  2. Choose wifi network (needs authentication through browser)
  3. Wingpanel crashes and no browser window opens

Expected Behavior

The browser should open to type in my login credentials.
