Com.vimalselvam.cucumber.listener.ExtentCucumberFormatter does not implement 'io.cucumber.plugin.Plugin'

I am using
com.vimalselvam:cucumber-extentreport:3.1.1 and com.avenstack:extentreports:3.1.1 with cucumber dependency as io.cucumber:cucumber-java:6.8.0, cucumber-junit:6.8.0 and getting the above exception. Is this jar not compatible with io.cucumber version 6?
If it is compatible please share an example
