map jumps around if hovering over a bug

After panning and zooming on the map the map jumps around when hovering over a bug before
the pop up opens. It seems the openlayers code is confused which bug we are hovering over
or where to move the map to to show the full bubble pop up.
It sometimes jumps 10-15km in zoomlevel 15 so you are completely out of your previous focus.
I once had the impression that i was looking at bugs which werent there or better were shifted to somewhere else - so in an area where there was no bug suddenly one appeared and while trying to get info by hovering over it the map jumped away - reloading and panning to the area again did not show a bug.
I found no deterministic way to reproduce this but it happened a couple times to me already.

I can confirm this bug using Firefox 3.0.10. Although I love the new OSB service this bug has kept me many times from productively working with OSB. Is there any hope to get a fix? (I don't possess the programming skills needed to tackle this problem.)
Probably fixed now. Please reload openstreetbugs.js before testing.
Its not - it does not jump around anymore but the bugs are not clickable nor do they open a popup when hovering over it
Please tell me how to reproduce. I can not see this behaviour.
Okay - got it again - All bugs seem to be unclickable after closing a bug. Tried it twice and both times all other bugs did not open a pop-up anymore after hovering over them. Also they did not show any reaction when clicking.
Good work! For me, the problem of jumping around the map and of misplaced bugs is solved by your fix. I cannot reproduce flohoffs observation of bugs being unclickable after closing a bug. I use FF 3.0.12 right now. However, there are three other issues:
- Very often the map is not zoomable any more using the mouse wheel when having hovered over a bug and after some zooming and panning.
- Sometimes, after zooming and panning, the zoom-slider on the left doesn't work any more, i.e. clicking on + and - doesn't change the zoom level and the zoom-controller is not pannable at all.
- more details needed
- cannot reproduce
Please file new bugs with detailed instructions for each issue. JS error console information would also help.
closing bugs is still throwing error "this.icon is null"
finally found some bug to resolve and close for testing, no error anymore.
works for me, what about you?
Great work! :-)
I'm sorry for answering late. The interface improved significantly since the last time I commented here. I could not observe the behaviour described above any more (at least not during the last few times I used openstreetbugs). Hopefully, problems are solved now. ;-)
