Enhancement: Resume Task Activity

GoogleCodeExporter opened this issue · 6 comments

Could we have a feature to resume a selected task?

Possible use case:
A project called "Server Issues", a task called "Server123", and a previous
activity with a comment of "Investigating server crash". When clicking on
"Investigating server crash", a button next to the green start button is
enabled called "Resume Activity" (or similar) which then starts a new activity
with a comment of the same name or prefix it with "Resuming: " so it will now
say "Resuming: Investigating server crash"

Just a thought

  • Changed state: Accepted
Another thought...for usability, perhaps have an (optional) dialog box

Are you sure you want to resume "Investigating server crash?"
[YES] [NO]

yes can be selected with the spacebar
no can be selected with return/enter

Yet another idea...right-click the task > Resume Task. No dialog box required.

where would you right click?

Not sure what the area is called, but the bottom pane with the comment. Right
clock the row and new options show up and among them is resume task. Perhaps
the context menu can have items such as: resume task, duplicate, edit, delete

That was meant to say "Right click" not "Right clock"
