The spellcheck toggled by typing ":setlocal spell!" at the vim command-line.
It works in vim and gvim but not works in vim-qt.
How to make it works?

What does :echo $VIMRUNTIME
say? Does it point to the correct directory? In my installation it failed to pick up that I have my vim runtime in /usr/share/vim/vim74/

I have the same problem. I believe it worked with an older version of vim-qt, but I recompiled from the current git master (with Qt5 as Qt4 was giving a compile error) because I need a specific upstream patch (1678). My $VIMRUNTIME
is set correctly.
