"proceed with data collection" doesn't read to students who don't encounter this problem IRL. most students thought that mean "run more pilots to determine the actual difficulty or not" rather than "run with this version of the experiment or re-write the test/training materials".
we should re-write this problem to be more accessible to students not doing their own research.
