Justification: Why is this term necessary?
Instruments (e.g. Licor 8100A) ask for an "Observation Count" before starting a chamber-level measurement to represent how many measurement cycles were completed and used to calculate the flux. These cycle measurements are often averaged by the IRGA to produce a flux measurement and can be an indicator of sample size and accuracy.
Proposed definition of new term
- Term name: Observation Count (
Obs_Count
) - Definition of the term: indicator of how many complete measurement cycles were collected at a given collar
