If a is commented, and there are no other s after it, the following text is not displayed.
If there are other s after it, the following text is displayed after the next .

It seems that the problem is worse than expected since even a comment such as
`<!--persName ref="http://dbpedia.org/resource/Rothari"><w>rothari</w></persName-->`
prevents text to be displayed. More testing is needed to ascertain if any commented element is going to trigger this bug.
