Inconsistency about Atmega32U4 package/footprint

In the BOM.xls files the case for the microprocessor is listed as QFN-44.
According to the datasheet from Atmel (and digikey) these have a 7mm x 7mm footprint.
The schema files however consistently use a 10mm x 10mm TQFP-44 package.
