Is wasm is anyhow related to wasm which is in progress by Polkadot (https://github.com/w3f/Web3-wiki/wiki/Polkadot#component-implementations)?

Hi @aj07, short answer is yes, they are related but independent implementations of WebAssembly for Ethereum (and, in the case of Parity, for Polkadot as well). We hope to move the two implementations closer together and work towards compatibility.
