Maybe add different shades of black/gray for background?

I use the Tubnil and a modified Twilight color scheme in my editor and these define a much darker background color (#131415
and #141414
respectively). Sadly this theme doesn't look too good on them.
What do you think of providing a few different black/gray shades to choose from, just like with the highlight colors?
Using the purple scheme for example I find the contrast on the white text in widgets along with the rather bright gray not great enough and rather hard to read (open console and select text).
I would have to probably redo the UI graphical assets to accept tinting better if I were to do this. It probably won't happen any time soon. But I will consider this in the future.
An alternative is maybe to lighten up the background of your color scheme to also work better with the theme. That is basically what I did with the tomorrow scheme when putting this theme together.
It is difficult to make a theme that is flexible with all color schemes.
Yeah, I just prefer the darker schemes. You don't have to bother if it's quite the effort and just for me. I can continue to use Nil just fine or look into other alternatives. I just reviewed the package control additions from last week and your theme looked interesting - especially the options in the menu (great idea!).
I probably won't keep using it anyway but I wanted to leave some feedback nonetheless.
Yeah, there is no theme that can please everyone, so that is not my intention. I will probably pass on this.
I think in this case, if you liked the theme enough, but wanted it darker, forking it is probably be the next step that should be taken. It sounds like you are more partial to NIL anyways, so I doubt that will be happening.
There will probably be slight tweaks in the future for certain contrast issues, but I think it is safe to close this issue.
