For instance: http://linkode.org/HgugDDCl4cEjKObQekMqW6 Could linkode try to calculate the shortest unique prefix for the id and use that?

This "big ID" is the default for "unguessable" linkodes. We may use shorter ones for "simple to remember" linkodes, but at some point it should be a default per user? or a checkbox in the page?
