Whenever I open it on Android, it momentarily opens without the notes visible, and then crashes.
I can still tap and hold it to bring up an option to write a new note; that allows me to write the note, but pressing save causes the crash. Only happened since the rewrite.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I pushed out an update to Google Play last night that should resolve the issue and get the app opening again for you.

Fixed, thank you! Would still love right-to-left support one day because I really do love everything else about this app, but again, thanks for fixing this so fast.

I'll look into the right-to-left support for a point release, likely something in Compose that I just overlooked. Definitely wasn't intentional that it was removed.
