Describe the bug
The badge counter doesn't match with actual highlights

Steps To Reproduce
open here
create a rule to highlight any "Categories"
refresh the page for the highlight to take effect,
take note of the badge highlights count first, then press the "Show all (some hidden)" button in the "Categories"
You'll notice that the counter was doubled.

Device info:

  • Browser and version: latest firefox (v110)
  • Auto Highlight version: latest (v4.7)

Additional info

this issue isn't limited to the mentioned site, the site is just an example and the same issue happens in many other sites, it's most visible where content is loaded dynamically (though my router doesn't load the logs dynamically, the highlights counter still always reports exactly x8 the actual highlights.)

Thank you for reporting this!
There was some small issue with the counter from the very beginning but I think I broke it further recently.
I'll try to fix it in the upcoming version (it may take a while though).
