Licensing question: is it ok to translate the first lesson and adapt it as a presentation?

Hi, I would like to translate the first lesson (perhaps a little bit more) to Brazilian Portuguese and create a presentation out of it to submit to a conference. Is it ok to do so according to the course license? I believe it is, since it would be considered derivative work, but I'd like to ask for permission before I do it.

I've asked the same question in the forums which I believe is a better venue than github for this so feel free to answer over there and close this if that's more appropriate.
