CoLab doesn't display text inside angle brackets in notebook

Opening notebook in Google CoLab for textbook chapters, the markdown text has angle brackets that are empty.
For example: "...We'll consider this topic more in detail in <>." - 01_intro.ipynb
I can only see the content of <> when I double click the markdown cell.
Can you guys fix this, it is kinda annoying to keep having to double click markdown cells.
