The cursor isn't staying in the viewport when inserting new lines

Actual behavior
Pressing Enter doesn't keep the cursor in the editor's viewport:

Reproducible on the demo page http://neilj.github.io/Squire/ (I'm using Chrome on macOS)
Whenever I press any charachter, e.g. "a" the focus returns to the editor's viewport.
Expected behavior
The cursor always stays in the editor's viewport.
