Why aren't the JQuery Functions from the Snaplet Example migrated over

I was just poking through the code and was wondering why the AJAX examples from the snaplet example and other JQuery functions haven't been migrated over into the main code file.

I wanted to do it section by section so we don't accidentally leave anything out and haven't gotten around to it. I guess we could just add placeholder comments for all the functions we want and start adding!
