Can't send the first message

With no other chat clients connected to the feathers-chat server, this seems to get stuck on a blank screen after creating an account/logging in. Starting up the web-based react client (or presumably any other variant) from inside the public folder of the feathers-chat project, signing in, and sending the first message from there is enough to put the react native app in the right state to allow sending and receiving messages.
This issue has been automatically marked as stale because it has not had recent activity. It will be closed if no further activity occurs. Apologies if the issue could not be resolved. FeathersJS ecosystem modules are community maintained so there may be a chance that there isn't anybody available to address the issue at the moment. For other ways to get help see here.
