Backup: old messages that have been edited since the last backup are not updated in the archive after the new backup

When updating an existing backup, new messages are added, but edited old messages remain the same and are not updated (edited) in the new backup. Is it possible to add a function to check old messages and if they have been edited, to update them in the new backup?

I think this is a related issue. We use the threaded messages quite a bit. And I noticed that when a thread is continued after a message has been backed up, the new threaded messages are not backed up with the next backup.
