Hi, @Pi-sulaiman. Could you provide a few more details about how to reproduce it?

To try it, I downloaded linkedin-autoconnect-chrome-extension.zip, unzipped it and confirmed the manifest.json file is there:

And it installed fine in Chrome:

@felladrin Thank you for the information. I hit the same issue but was able to get it working from the zip file on the releases page.

Ah, could it be because you were downloading the Source Code (zip) instead of the linkedin-autoconnect-chrome-extension.zip from the Releases Page? (Screenshot below)

I'll update the Readme of this repository so that instead of pointing to the Releases page it points to the direct link to the latest linkedin-autoconnect-chrome-extension.zip.
