About time for an update ?

I'm planning on starting a new personal project. Our team is used to work with Vue, but recently one of us just suggested to try Svelte if we are going to start from scratch, so we can learn at the same time. So, looking for pros and cons we ended up here and we think it's a great analysis, however we think Svelte must have gone through some changes in the last 3 years. In short, it would be awesome if you update this to include anything that could have changed (for better or worse) since you wrote this article.

Hey thanks for the question. I'll make some small edits in some sections soon. I need to do some research to learn more about the ecosystem before properly following up on that point, I've been heads-down working with Svelte and not many libraries, but I can report two abundantly satisfied users of Svelte and SvelteKit. I'd also say as a observing user, the Svelte team look solid, and they do a lot of work to reach better solutions. We couldn't be happier with SvelteKit/Vite, they are amazing. The community is big and doing a lot, it's mainstream in mindshare.

I talked with my coworker Hamilton and we'll start putting together our thoughts for a more "show don't tell" followup when we release our alpha demo. It'll be fun to see his POV as a backend dev who discovered liking frontend (his words, he was skeptical of JS land which is fair). It might take a few months.

Okay here's the link to the update in the "Drawbacks today" section. Thanks for the nudge! I'd be happy to hear any feedback too. I'm not trying to be comprehensive but I don't want to miss big things.

Thanks a lot for the follow up. We've been reading more and more in the last few days and Svelte is a very solid option so we are definitely going to start using it. And yes, SvelteKit + Vite is ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€
