You're using PhantomJS, so you have access to the entire DOM and CSSOM. You can use this to extract the characters per font family (instead of using the same character set for all the fonts).

I can open a pull request if you like.

Coding is finished for this under the --json cmd line option and will be available in 3.0.0.
