Copy enhancement request

I was recently using MobileTerminal to grab output from my server on the go,
and had to resort to taking a screenshot because the copy functionality isn't
very intuitive. The fact that copy and paste is available at all is fantastic,
don't get me wrong. But it would be nice to be able to select a range of text
to copy, or somehow do a copy of the entire screen (or even better, the entire
buffer).
I'm also still trying to figure out how to activate copy and paste in the first
place. I have the shortcut gesture set to double-finger double-tap. It turns
the cursor lighter (usually after a couple of tries). But after that, I poke
and prod the screen randomly until the popup menu appears. What am I supposed
to do to activate this properly?

Once you've turned on copy paste, then you select a start point and drag to
select an end point. Yeah, its pretty poor because its entirely re-implemented
since the vt100 screen isn't a normal text box. Also, its not clear how to
enable it given all the supported gestures. Perhaps some user experience
expert could offer to figure this out for us :)
