Mac OS Catalina - Opening straight to PCSX2 log screen

Hi there! I followed the instructions using terminal to disable gatekeeper so I could open the app. I managed to install by mounting the drive, copying the app to Applications, showing package contents, then WineskinLauncher script. However, installing the .exe I downloaded from the PCSX2 website didn't work through the Wineskin app inside package contents. I got the "There is no Windows program configured to open this type". So that didn't work. Anyway, after running the WineskinLauncher script, I was able to open the PROM app itself, which took me straight to the PCSX2 configuration. This worked to a certain extent, but the sound didn't work and I couldn't configure the audio to relate to CoreAudio through the shell. I was able to boot some ISOs (but not others), so I assumed I hadn't installed it right.

I assumed this was down to me not installing it through the Wineskin app in the package contents, so I attempted a clean install. I uninstalled everything using CleanMyMac, which is usually pretty thorough. This included Wine and any other leftovers. Now, however, when I mount the drive and click on the PROM app, it opens straight to the PCSX2 log screen. No config or ISO selection, just log, and nothing happened.

So I guess my concern is multi-part - why wasn't the .exe running through the Wineskin app in package contents? I assume I've done something wrong at some stage, but following the instructions just didn't work. Clicking the PROM.app just took me straight to the PCSX2 config as I said, which didn't seem right for a proper install of the most recent version of PCSX2 I had downloaded, so something seems up. Any advice would be appreciated!
