Wheel-based magnification bug

Upon mouse wheel magnification, when wheeling in direction to make the pile smaller, initially, the pile magnifies to its full extend:

In this example, I moved my wheel exactly 1 tick forward, which normally reduces the magnification. Somehow when I wheel the first time on a pile this instead magnifies the pile to its max. magnification extent.
