The energy usage graph occasionally empty[BUG]
Opened this issue · 8 comments
Describe the bug
I occasionally get the usage graph saying no data available. It could take 2 hours for it to show data. This happens on all devices.
To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:
- Install energy period selector plus
- Add energy-usage-graph
- Keep on monitoring on all devices.
- See an empty graph. Sometimes graph comes back when the browser is refreshed.
Expected behavior
The graph should show the usage for the given period

I understand that this is a channel for reporting bugs, not a support forum (If you need help configuring the card, go to: Discussions).
-
I have the latest version of the card installed.
-
I have cleared my browser cache after installing, updating and configuring the card.
Having the same behaviour here (with the exact minimal setup and a more complicated one .. like all the graphs).
It works for me through any web browser in all my devices, but having an empty chart in the HA app.
Same here.
Graphs comes back when datw selector is removed
Same here too.
If I remove the component, save the dashboard and then add it again, it works.
However, after a while, it no longer works.
I have also seen this behaviour. It seems to happen when you first load into another dashboard and then load one with this component / energy cards on. Loading directly into the energy dashboard works.
I originally raised this issue with a bunch of detail about my findings, which may be useful for the developer to help resolve this: home-assistant/frontend#17974
In the mean time, I have switched back to the default energy-date-selection
card which is working as expected.
Same issue. For me, clearing the browser cache 1 or 2 times consecutively solved the problem. I tried this custom selector with Energy Flow Card Plus and it works well. It seems it's a bug of energy-usage-graph.
Same issue. I had to delete this card.
Same here.
