Mute not working on iOS

The Mute button (on the phone side) is not working with the background music (preloadComplex) with an iPhone 6s+ (os: 10.2.1) using the latest npm plugin version: 3.0.9
The music is still playing and audible.
Did I miss an option or something ?

I've had and solved this problem, too. There is a solution, detailed here.

In short: until the maintainers of this project fix this, try using my forked version: https://github.com/MartinDomig/cordova-plugin-nativeaudio
