Telegram or Whatsapp Message Match Scores

Problem.
While Internet is widespread, sometimes, while traveling, you get reduced to much lower speeds, making that only certain things like WhatsApp Messages or Telegram messages can be fetched, that too, only those with text info. So, what does a sport enthusiast have to do, to get the scores of an ongoing juicy match?
Solution
A server running some code can fetch the latest scores using Python or other scripting APIs, and using similar APIs from Twilio or such, send the scores to the user
Alternatives
I made an app that sends Text messages, but they cannot be much economically viable, compared to something like a Whatsapp Message.
Additional context
This app just has to sit between two existing REST based APIs
