I work in a restaurant and for safety and food management you have to keep track of fridges temperatures, food labels, maintainance etc... It would be much easier to keep track of those with an app on a smartphone, rather than paper. It would be also interesting to make it shareable with co workers. There are few apps on the play store to accomplish this, but they are paid services and with close source, stored on a third-party server somewhere.
My idea is of an app that connects to a self hosted database or webserver to keep track of food labels, chores and equipment cleaning, fridges temperature. Where you can take a photo of the label or maybe with an implementation like grocy of barcodes, but the lot number is also important so maybe photo is faster.
Also to set deadlines for chores and get a notification when they are due. Keep track of ingredients in the menu and make a list to buy them later.
The self hosted webserver would be the core of the peoject and maybe a day there will be also an app for smartphones.
