Annotate Selected in KWIC view: retag while keeping attributes

After querying a particular tag and entering KWIC view, I can add new tags to the results or a manually selected subset of the results, which is great. Another thing I would like to be able to do is for the newly added tag to replace the originally queried tag, while inheriting any attributes present on the originally queried tag.
