Here's my breakdown of the different controllers:
Talon SRX - most expensive - fancy, easy to program, has data port
Spark MAX - expensive - Required for brush-less - I'm not sure how they compare to Talon SRX, has data port
Spark - cheaper - kinda basic, PWM only, no data port but does take limit switch inputs
Victor SPX - similar price to Spark, basically a cheaper Talon, not sure exactly how it compares, does not have data port
