Persistence of data in the stack

I do not believe the stack that is set up with the help of the hashistack vagrant-box should have any persistence, and that this repo is a quick up, quick down solution where you can test and get to know different parts of the stack. I wanted to start a discussion and see if anyone got something to add to this?
Would maybe the shared vagrant-folder be all that's needed?
