@chrislo Do you know whether you set up anything to do with Cloudflare when you set up the app on Render? Or do you know if Render automatically puts apps behind Cloudflare?

I didn't set anything up explicitly as far as I can remember. Render had a
bit of down time a little while ago and when I checked the site at that
time it showed a Cloudflare error page, so I think they must use it by
default.
