In my crontab, I added a MAILTO line at the top while testing something unrelated.
Now, once per hour, an email arrives like this at 30 minutes after the hour. This one arrived at 14:30:
/bin/bash: line 1: 2836659 Killed /opt/cpanel/ea-php82/root/usr/bin/php /home/USERNAME/public_html/artisan schedule:run >> /dev/null 2>&1
I monitored which processes were running every 30 seconds. This PID appeared at 14:00:18 and was last seen at 14:30:18.
$ while true; do date; ps -eaf | grep "schedule:run" | grep -v grep; sleep 30; done
