Axis of the absolute magnitude is wrong

steveschulze opened this issue · 0 comments

Hi

Describe the bug
The axis for the absolute magnitude is incorrectly displayed. Fainter apparent magnitudes have larger absolute magnitudes and vice versa. It is possible that the axis of the absolute magnitude only needs to be flipped, but please also check that the equation for the absolute magnitude is correct.

This feature is very important for the extragalactic transient community to judge whether an object or a feature in the light curve is particularly interesting and decide on follow-up strategies.

To Reproduce
Open an object page, e.g., https://fritz.science/source/ZTF20acpyldh

Expected behavior

The absolute magnitude M is related to the apparent magnitude via

M = m - distance_modulus (+k-correction)
