[bug] payment portal doesn't work with emails using plus addressing - Payment request failed to generate

Hi,

Just reporting this in in-case someone else comes across this.

I have habit of always using <email>+<alias>@fqdn.tld format, and noticed that the current payment portal has some issues with this email format. (example email: foo+bar@gmail.com)

Just removing the +<alias>-part makes the payment portal work just fine.
