As of 11.2 no longer appears to work. Even with SIP and authenticated-root disabled, exiting the shell yields

Couldn't create snapshot on volume /Volumes/Users/harry/temp: Operation not permitted

Switched from Clover to OpenCore and everything worked as expected.
