new empty item when creating a category

Hello,
when you create a category in a list, by default a new empty item is also created.
this should not be the case.

I think it is intended that way and i also think it is correct way. Why would you create category if you would not put any items in it?

You could also create a new category with the intension to add/move existing items to it.
