Importing a list duplicates gear and slows down search

There's no way to currently clean up the gear list, and if you export and import a list all of the gear is duplicated. Deleting all lists still leaves behind a pile of unused gear entries that must be tediously deleted by hand. This makes searching and using the app slower. How about adding a way to nuke all of the gear or an option to nuke the gear associated with a list when it's deleted.

A good feature would be to highlight duplicates in the import window and provide the option to duplicate, overwrite, or merge them. I can work on this.
