Does it have a VM or not?

README is more than a bit unclear on this point.
If it doesn't, LuaJIT is a good fast VM to look at either as a target or as inspiration

Speedie has a VM that is unfinished. I am working hard on it right now.
Hopefully released around january 2025. Soon!
The README isn't unclear. "VM" is mentioned in only two spots:
1) Compiles via C++ for full-speed, or VM byte-code for portability.
2) Remaining challenges are: Adding a good debugger, VM and executable-format!
I'd say "unclear" means "could possibly mean two or more things". Not "it clearly has one meaning, but the first line didn't answer all your questions, although the second line did".
...
Also, the documentation is not really finished or "release ready" itself! As the entire project is in a beta-state.
It just exists and doesn't need to be correct or perfect, until I'm ready for a release. It is only to get people interested about my current progress. I'll decide when it needs to be perfect or what state of correctness it needs to be and when. 😂 (said in a friendly manner)
That said... I updated that line, so its a little clearer.

Thanks! Must've missed that second sentence as the README is pretty long
