Can the Gaphor website please be translatable?

The website translation could be available as a new component at the Gaphor Project on Weblate. Plots and JASP have multiple components.

You could then have a website with multiple languages, like:

  1. Thunderbird
  1. Jami

What do you think?

Thank you

Maybe we could use the jekyll multiple languages plugin to accomplish this.

@amolenaar Does this sound like a good approach to you? If so, I could work on a PR.

We can only use a few plugins for Github Pages. However it seems to be possible to use it. The multilingual plugin looks okay.

I looked into this more, and the Jekyll multiple language plugin isn't supported by GitHub Pages. Weblate does support direct translation of HTML and Javascript using the Weblate CDN. I started to try to set this up and Weblate even pushed a mostly empty commit, but this is still some work to do here.

@danyeaw I do not undertand, why you use so many /n (new lines/break lines) and indentations with space characters in your strings for Gaphor/gaphor.github.io on Weblate.

For instance in the key: 1c211250062e8749

Unless necessary, I'd suggest to remove them all in all strings.

Closed by #41. @ovari and @milotype, the website is now available to be translated in Hungarian and Croatian on Weblate ๐Ÿ‘

  1. Do translations automatically appear? If so, how long does it take? If not, what need to happen?

Can not find the following strings to translate:

  1. Learn more button on the main webpage
  2. Download button on the main webpage
  3. About top row string
  4. Download top row string
  5. Blog top row string
  6. GitHub repository top row popout string
  7. Perhaps all the string in the top row need translation to be enable as the strings that look like they are in Weblate are duplicated
  8. Download heading on the main page (scroll down a bit)
  9. Can the leading and trailing whitespaces (spaces , ENTER \n) please be removed from the source strings? e.g. Tech docs\n
  10. Can the web browser window's title be improved? Please see image below

    image
  11. Theme bottom footer
  12. The image is blurry at https://gaphor.org/hr/ and https://gaphor.org/hu/. The image is clear at https://gaphor.org/.

Can you please fix?

What do you think?

Thank you
