Thank you for posting an example that confirmed a problem I'm seeing in my app. I don't think this is particular to your code so I've described it in a stack overflow and linked to your demo. Hope that is acceptable.
The problem is when sending messages to an Android Chrome device. Works when any Chrome app is running but does not if ALL Chrome tabs/apps are closed. It does work in Firefox. Any thoughts?
