pagination crashes safari on initial load

Hi,

I have noticed that clicking on "next" or "prev" crashes safari, but only when opened in a new window, after refreshing it works fine, and continues to work fine on subsequent refreshes. It works fine after an initial load in a new tab, new window is the only issue. This is true for both desktop and iOS safari.

What do you think could be causing this odd bug?

Firefox and Chrome don't have this issue. If you don't have the same problem then I can send you my own code to see if the way I am using it might be the source of the bug.
