DSpace uses a v3 release of the library. They added a few tweaks to the 3.x branch: DSpace/xoai@main...DSpace:3.x (examples DSpace#74, DSpace@dd97db3, DSpace@3c7c66c, DSpace#47 etc)
Let's see what we can incorporate and backport. We use the v4 version of the original library, so this should be done with care!
- Replace Xalan with Saxon: DSpace@3c7c66c (that was on the radar already)
- Some others, but those will be not necessary with the stuff going on for #1
